The Workers’ Welfare Association (AWO) provides parents with information about a wide range of courses and support services for families with children from birth until they start school. The aim of these programs is to support children’s development in an age-appropriate manner and to prepare them well for the transition to school. A particular focus is placed on language support for parents and children, as well as on strengthening language skills in everyday family life. Families can receive support and guidance from native-speaking staff in the following languages: English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Kurdish, Farsi, French, Urdu and Romanian.

The Education Center (BZ) at Bildungscampus Nürnberg presents itself and provides information about its educational, continuing education and leisure activities. Its programs are aimed at adults from all cultural backgrounds and age groups who speak a variety of native languages. The international courses, events and activities offered by BZ Nürnberg provide opportunities to come together and share experiences in different languages, whether by learning languages, cooking, practicing yoga or engaging in creative activities. The German-Ukrainian association “Spilnota” (currently being established) brings people together across the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region and creates opportunities for connection, exchange and active participation in society. At our booth, we will introduce our community, projects and activities and invite visitors to engage in conversation with us. A small interactive activity will give attendees the opportunity to get involved and learn more about Spilnota. We welcome everyone interested in the Ukrainian community, intercultural exchange, civic engagement and meeting new people.

The Franconian International School (FIS) presents its international educational program for children and young people from preschool through Grade 12. At the booth, families can learn about the school’s educational approach, its English-language instruction, and the various academic pathways and qualifications offered. FIS is particularly geared toward international and mobile families and supports students in succeeding academically and developing personally within an international learning environment.

integRO Mittelfranken e.V. is committed to promoting the social participation and integration of Romanians in the region. At the booth, the association provides information about its work, objectives and services, as well as opportunities to connect with others and get actively involved. Visitors can gain insights into the association’s wide range of activities and learn about support opportunities, ways to contribute, as well as current projects and events.

The Nuremberg City Jobcenter provides information and advice for people with a migration background on employment, professional integration and the recognition of foreign professional qualifications. Visitors can receive guidance on job placement services, support options for entering the labor market, and funding opportunities related to qualification recognition procedures. If additional support is needed, referrals can be made to appropriate specialist services and counseling centers. Employers can also learn about funding opportunities available when hiring people with a migration background.

The municipal program NEST at the Nuremberg Institute for Education and School Psychology provides information and guidance for parents and guardians on schools and the Bavarian education system. Qualified volunteer parent guides support cooperation between families and schools through their intercultural expertise. Questions can be asked not only in German but also in a variety of family languages. At the booth, visitors can obtain information about school enrollment, parent-teacher meetings, their children’s educational pathways, and the wide range of support services offered by NEST. The parent guides help families navigate the school system and support their children’s educational success in the best possible way.

The City of Nuremberg’s Department for Education provides information about the school system in Nuremberg and supports newly arrived children, young people and their families as they enter the German education system. At the booth, visitors can learn about schools in Nuremberg, special classes for students from non-German-speaking countries, as well as available counseling and support services. In addition, contacts to schools, educational counseling services and the Bavarian Office for the Recognition of Educational Certificates are provided to help families successfully integrate into the education system.

The Wirtschaftsjunioren Nürnberg is a network of young entrepreneurs, business leaders and aspiring founders under the age of 40. At their booth, they provide information about their projects, events and volunteer activities in the region and beyond. Visitors can gain insights into opportunities for professional and personal development, expand their networks and become part of a strong local and international community. The focus is on exchanging experiences, promoting entrepreneurship and fostering social engagement.

Noris-Arbeit gGmbH (NOA) provides information at its booth about its wide range of services for young people, adults and families. AOK Bayern provides information at its booth about Germany’s statutory health insurance system, health insurance coverage, and its wide range of services and health programs. Visitors can receive personal advice on health insurance matters and important information for different life situations. AOK staff are available to offer guidance and support, helping people navigate and better understand the German healthcare system.

The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) provides information at its booth about key services related to skilled immigration, integration and language support. Represented at the booth are the Skilled Immigration Coordination Office, which informs international professionals and companies about available support services; the “Working and Living in Germany” hotline, which provides guidance on entry, residence and employment in Germany; and the Language Courses Division, which offers advice on the Federal Government’s various language support programs. The information services are complemented by interactive activities such as an AI-powered professional photo booth, a quiz wheel and a participation activity focused on arriving and settling in Germany. The booth is aimed equally at international professionals, companies and network partners.

Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) provides information about its wide range of opportunities for study, vocational training and career entry. Visitors can learn about more than 275 degree programs, including numerous international offerings, as well as career paths in administration, technology, academia and research. Hand in Hand for International Talents provides information about recruiting international skilled professionals for IHK-recognized occupations in the fields of electrical engineering, metalworking, mechatronics, IT and culinary arts. At the booth, companies can learn how the recruitment of qualified professionals from abroad works and what support the project offers throughout the entire process. The program is aimed both at companies with initial experience in international recruitment and at businesses exploring the topic for the first time and looking to develop new approaches to talent acquisition.
