We also provide guidance on the recognition of foreign professional qualifications in the skilled crafts sector and on the validation of practical vocational skills.

IHK FOSA
IHK FOSA is the recognition authority for foreign vocational qualifications that are comparable to occupations regulated by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK). As the nationwide competence center of 76 Chambers of Industry and Commerce, it conducts recognition procedures. With an IHK FOSA recognition notice, individuals can demonstrate that they are qualified professionals. Employers, in turn, can more easily assess qualifications obtained abroad.

Founded in 1985, Primus Fremdsprachen has more than 30 years of experience as a language school. The institution is committed not only to educational excellence but also to the success of its students. Courses are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening, giving learners the opportunity to improve their language skills from levels A1 to C2 and obtain a telc certificate.

The goal of AWO Nuremberg’s parent education programmes is to support children’s development in an age-appropriate way and prepare them successfully for the transition to school. Families can receive guidance and support in their native language in English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Kurdish, Farsi, French, Urdu, and Romanian.

The organization shares knowledge, fosters networks, and demonstrates how design drives economic, social, and sustainable transformation. Together with its partners, it creates a strong platform for design in Bavaria. bayern design is supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the bayern design forum e.V.
Förderverein für ein gesundes, friedliches und Kultursensibles Zusammenleben – Frizu e.V.
Frizu e.V. promotes healthy, peaceful, and culturally sensitive coexistence. The association creates positive change through projects in education, culture, and humanitarian work. Its core activities include awareness-raising, integration, and health prevention. People with their own migration experience provide newcomers with information on important everyday topics in their native language.

Looking for a childcare place? ISKA provides information about childcare services in Nuremberg and explains how to search for a childcare place through the city’s system. The organization also assists with using the online “Kita Portal” and can arrange personal consultations for more detailed questions.

Nürnberger Elternbüro Schulerfolg und Teilhabe (NEST)
The municipal programme NEST is based at the Institute of Pedagogy and School Psychology Nuremberg and provides Nuremberg families with information about schools and the Bavarian education system. Its qualified parent guides come from 25 different countries and speak around 30 languages. Support is provided free of charge and confidentially.
Nürnberg engagiert
The Office for Civic Engagement is the central point of contact for promoting volunteering and civic participation in the city of Nuremberg. It provides structures and platforms, connects stakeholders, develops new formats, and strengthens appreciation for volunteer engagement among both long-time and newly arrived residents, as well as associations and companies.
KuBB / ZSEF (Regierung von Mittelfranken)
KuBB – Koordinierungs- und Beratungsstelle Berufsanerkennung: Die KuBB ist eine bayernweit zuständige Beratungsstelle für Berufsanerkennung mit Schwerpunkt im Gesundheitssektor. Sie berät in zahlreichen Sprachen zu Anerkennungsverfahren, Unterlagen, sprachlichen und persönlichen Voraussetzungen sowie Kosten und Anpassungslehrgängen. 2025 und 2026 wurden rund 800 Personen in Approbationsberufen, 1.300 in der Pflege und 600 in Gesundheitsfachberufen beraten.
