How did you come to Germany and Mittelfranken?

Before moving to Mittelfranken, I lived and worked in Unterfranken for some time. Ending up in Nuremberg was actually more of a coincidence, and sometimes it is exactly those coincidences that shape the course of our lives.

“The Franconia region has always fascinated me. For me, Mittelfranken combines a high quality of life with many professional and personal opportunities.

What would have helped you upon arrival?

My language skills were a great help. At the same time, it was important to take the initiative, look for opportunities, meet new people, and build connections.

What I missed at the time was a central meeting place for international professionals, a place where people could easily get to know each other, exchange experiences, and build networks.

Why did you stay in Mittelfranken?

That was initially more of a coincidence as well. I had actually planned to move to Munich, but then a professional opportunity came up in Nuremberg, and I decided to stay. Looking back, I am very happy about that decision.

The Franconia region has always fascinated me. Not only is it a beautiful and diverse region to explore, but it is also conveniently located with easy access to the mountains, Munich, and Austria. For me, Mittelfranken offers an excellent balance of quality of life and professional and personal opportunities.

What do you wish for the future?

I would like to see even more places and formats where international professionals, students, and local residents can come together easily and naturally. For me, settling into a new place means more than just finding a job. It also means making connections and feeling at home in the region.

That is why I am especially looking forward to the International Community Day in October: meeting new people, having inspiring conversations, and creating opportunities for international professionals, students, and local residents to connect with one another.
