How did you come to Germany and Central Franconia?
I come from Iran and had already worked for several years as a System Administrator in the IT sector there. To expand my expertise and gain international experience, I decided to come to Germany to pursue a master’s degree.
After completing my Master’s degree in Cloud Application and Security Engineering at TH Ingolstadt, I found a position as Manager Technology & Operations – Cloud Infrastructure at NürnbergMesse and moved to Nuremberg. Today, I feel very comfortable in Nuremberg and look forward to continuing to build my professional and personal future here.
What would have helped you upon arrival?
Being well informed before my arrival helped me a lot.
However, it took some time for me to get an appointment with the immigration office. Looking back, I think that having access to a network for international professionals would have made the transition even easier.
Why did you stay in Central Franconia?
Above all, it was my job and the good professional opportunities that encouraged me to stay.
I also like the fact that Nuremberg is a city of a comfortable size. It offers many opportunities for leisure activities, sports, and enjoying nature, while at the same time making it easy to feel at home.
What do you expect from the ICD?
The International Community Day is a great opportunity to meet people from different cultures, make new connections, and learn from one another.
I would also like to contribute my part to an open and diverse society.
